You could have your rights to run your direct sales business taken away from you if you knowingly or unknowingly promote your business in a way that violates company policy. There is usually an option to build a sales organization within network marketing companies, but that is optional. However, you will find that you will not be able to advance very high in the company if you choose not to build a team.
If you still want to sell items directly to consumers without involving a third party, you can consider selling through online marketplace companies like eBay, Amazon, Shopify, and Etsy. Each online marketplace company has their own rules, but you will have the ability to sell your products to customers worldwide. The fees that the e-commerce websites charge are not huge amounts. Be clear about what you hope to gain from starting a direct sales business before you officially start the journey. What are you hoping to accomplish financially? What you want to achieve personally from your business? Write out a business plan detailing your goals and projections for your new venture. Make sure that you create and follow through will plans on how to best market your business; blogs, videos, social media websites, and good old-fashioned word of mouth advertising is a super way to let the world know that you are in business.
